Personal Investment in Fitness

24 hours in the day and 168 hours in the week, we all have the same number of hours no matter which way you look at it.
You will sleep away 56 hours at 8 hours a day, 40 hours will be spent at work and be left with around 72 hours.
Out of the last 72 hours you have to yourself, you may spend it on eating, resting or with your family. Out of that 72 hours, at the Governments recommendation of 30 minutes a day, that pretty much equates to 3.5 hours or 2% of your week to get some physical activity in there.
3.5 hours is not a big deal. It is not a lot by any means, but it is such a small commitment to make to improve your body’s physical fitness.
If you do not know already, exercise is “The Magic Bullet” against ALL Preventative Diseases stemming from being overweight or obese. The power of movement is incredibly effective in reversing the danger of disease.
With a small investment of your time, You Can Improve Your Health. It is a good habit and along with all the good advice like “eating your peas” and “cover your mouth when you sneeze”, “do a little bit of exercise every other day of the week” should not be overlooked and be spread like gospel.
Do not waste that precious time. Do not procrastinate.
Do your body a favour. Do a little bit of exercise.
No more excuses.
Invest 3.5, to enjoy more of life. For some, it will save your life.

Have You Got Enough Veg and Fruit?
October 21, 2010
Vege, Vegies, greens, fibres, vegetables, whatever you want to call them are good for you. Your body needs a little bit of fibre now and again for proper digestion and to clean out your guts. The foods that you eat will tend to get lodged somewhere in your stomach as you have almost 10 metres of insides running in loops and kinks.
1 serve is equivalent to 1 cup or to equate that to an object you are looking at the size of a computer mouse or a light bulb. With Australian guidelines, we are looking at at least 7 light bulbs of vegies and fruits in our diet daily.
Is this possible? To fit 7 light bulbs of food into our stomachs? Yes, it is going to be a challenge. Especially if you do not like your greens in the first place. If you never listened to your mum, well I will have to be your mum, so eat your greens before you go out to play.
For you guys who think that that is a heap, well then Harvard research has indicated 13 serves of fruit and vegies. If 7 was not enough, try that, ON TOP of your normal intake of macronutrients like your carbohydrates, fats and proteins.
At the end of the day, it is going to be hard to get all that volume of food into your body and you cannot go without it. A gradual introduction of the amount of vegies you consume is a must. Make it a point to include vegies in your meals and plan it out for the week or a couple of days in advance.
Top Tips From the Pro:
- Eat vegies as a snack in the day in between your meals and during your meals.
- Eat the colours of the rainbow within the week.
- Shop from a busy grocer or market.
- Less is More when it comes to cooking vegetables
- Choose a Good Supplement to Complement your meals and nutritional intake.
